和束川の北岸(右岸)の花崗岩の巨石に彫られた弥勒摩崖仏(磨崖仏立像)があります。右手に施無畏印、左手に与願印を結び、その右側に正安2年(1300年)4月の銘があります。高さ6.1mの大きな岩に彫りこまれた仏立像は、背丈3.3ｍで耳が長く、ふっくらとした面相でほほえみかけ、衣紋も極めて美しい磨崖仏です。
